Albondigas (Spanish Meatballs)

Posted by Andrew Schofield

A very popular Spanish tapas dish - I can't vouch for the authenticity, but it tastes great. Lamb can be used as a substitute for beef if desired. Taken from my blog at http://onceuponathyme.wordpress.com/2008/11/30/albondigas-spanish-meatballs/ MORE»

Waterzooi of Chicken

Posted by Belgophile

From Ruth Van Waerebeek's “Everyone Eats Well in Belgium Cookbook.” Don’t be turned off by the unusual name; it's Dutch in origin (pronounced VAH-ter-zoy); it’s basically a hearty chicken and vegetable soup/stew thing, with a deliciously rich and... MORE»

Cocoa Brownies

Posted by Charmed

Yes, another brownie recipe. I never much liked brownies made with cocoa powder until I discovered that using 1/2 vegetable shortening made a big difference in the texture, resulting in a much fudgier, firmer cocoa brownie. If you leave out or... MORE»

Paula Deen's Texas Pepper Pork Ribs

RECIPE: Jim's Spaghetti House Sauce

Jim's has been my favorite since I was a little girl. But I don't live in Huntington anymore, and since my grandma died last year, I don't visit that much. So, all I can say is THANK YOU!!! This sauce is just like Jim's. Now, if only I had the recipe for Tudor's biscuits!

RECIPE: Easy Moroccan Vegetarian Stew

This was so good!! We made it as directed the first night and loved it as is. The second night took the leftovers rice included, added some shredded chicken, and made some of the best nachos ever. You don't get things much better than that- simple, tasty, versatile, healthy, and easy on the budget. Thanks for sharing the dish you whipped up. = ) Lori
