I am originally from Alberta, Canada.

Now living in NC.I stumbled upon recipezaar April 18, 2003 and have never logged out since that day !! I am married to the love of my life Joshua. have one cat Oliver (Ollie) I work at a non profit organization as one of the assistant managers.
I am a christian and attend a Southern Baptist Church. I do not believe in chance meetings with anyone, I know and believe that people are brought into our lives for a reason. Everyday Is an opportunity.I am a very humble, giving and loving person. I have one beautiful daughter Shantelle who was born Sept 27-82. I raised her on my own, and worked 2 jobs to support her. She just got married May 27-06.I am also the proud grandmother of Alexis Audrey born July 12-2005, and Ava born April 2 2007. I love, LOVE cookbooks and with just receiving more, my count is up to 300 now. Gooseberry Patch are my all time fav's and I have started to collect them now. I have 3 recipes published in GBP, and one in TOH.
My " zaar sister" Auntie Jan,and I met when she came to visit me, and we had a BLAST. She is my long lost sister and kindered soul. I have also had the pleasure of meeting Color Guard Mom, Puppytipup and HappyHairy 2. I would like to leave you with these thoughts;

My little brother passed away March 27, 2008 after a courgaeous battle against cancer and my life, heart and soul are sad and emtpy. I will forever love and miss him terribly. His legacy lives on in the lives of us all forever.

Favorite Foods:

I love all types of food. I do mainly low fat cooking. Love to try new recipes. Although nothing can really top my mom's fried chicken, potato salad and cabbage rolls , as well as her home made baked bread.
