about me

I take great comfort in cooking and preparing delicious delicacies for my friends and family. I was an event planner before turning to real estate so I love having parties, planning parties, and going to parties! I am a Zaar junkie. I must cook and create and read about food. It's my outlet. I prefer savory dishes and tend to shy away from baking.

My recipes posted here are not all quick and easy (although some really are). I prefer the rich tastes and flavors which usually only come from dishes that require nurturing. However, I am also like most full-time working mothers of pre-teens who are also the president of the PTO and live in the country with chickens, dogs, cats, and fish...TIRED and sometimes in need of simple, fast and easy. That's why I like to make ample supplies of my spaghetti sauce, extra chicken pot pies and baked zitis, and lots of soups for the freezer.

My motto:
If you would learn the secret of right relations
look only only for the divine in people and things
and leave the rest to God.

And, I like this one, too:
To eat is neat
but
to dine is divine!

Favorite Foods:

Ratings:
I know the ingredients I like to cook with and can pretty much decipher whether or not I can make a recipe work for us before cooking it, thus my ratings tend to be high.
***** means we all loved it and I didn't HAVE to change anything. Although I usually always add my own personal touch.
**** means it was very good but needed something.
*** means the recipe has potential but is not there, yet.

God bless America!
