I was born in Nebraska but, grew up in Southern California. I'm now living in Huntsville, AL for the past 22 years. I have been in the restaurant business for 25 or so years and love to cook. My hobby is tasting dishes at restaurants and re-createing them at home, and I've got a really good palate so I'm rather successful at it. I'm currently working on a lemon pasta sauce I tasted in a local restaurant (they don't make it anymore), I think I am getting close and when I'm happy with the result I will post it here. In my world a recipe is a guideline to cooking and can be altered to suit one's taste.
I collect cookbooks for a hobby and have made at least one recipe from each one.
My favorite foods are any entrees with any sauce. I'm most noted for my pot roast and cherry topped cheesecake (I myself seldom eat desserts) but, I can't share it because I do it from memory and don't have a recipe. I often having a crowd over for cookouts.(weather permitting)
