about me

Hi there, I'm Penny. I live in Tacoma, Washington which is about 35 miles south of Seattle with my husband and 13 year old stepson and our Chihuahua Chi Chi Dog. I work in Seattle as an expense account manager for the same company for the past 25 years. It's about 40 miles each direction to work which makes for a nasty commute.

One of my favorite hobbies is making cards and scrapbooking. I'm totally addicted! I also have a love of recipes and cooking. I used to collect recipe books, but with the internet so readily available I've stopped collecting. Sure saves on space! I used to enjoy cooking a lot more than I have lately due to having had lapband surgey on December 20, 2006. When you can only have a few bites and you get full it kind of takes the fun out of trying new foods and recipes, although my family can still get the benefit.
