about me

*I love living in Oregon. I was born here but in a dry desert part of the state. I am a teaching assistant in a grade school and I work at a bank. I have 2 main hobbies reading and cooking. I live in a lush green valley. I live on the edge of the metro area but in the middle of fields of crops growing. I pick peaches, pears, apples, tomatoes, marionberries, raspberries, boysenberries, cucumbers, etc. I love to can and make my own salsa to give away as gifts to family and friends.

My DH has been an active part of my 'Zaar experience, helping with photos and joining in on many projects. He is a very good photographer and has taught me a lot. He likes to stir-fry and to bake cookies, bread and rolls. He's been known to finish off a recipe, take the picture, and complete the review after I go to work in the evening. He runs a printing press for a living and also enjoys computers, photography, and many kinds of music.

Our daughter, MandyLovesPandys has also been a big help on Zaar. She has taken on many fancier projects that had an artistic flair. She also has taken some of our best photos. She just recently got an account of her own so now she can make her fabulous creations and take her wonderful pictures and get credit for herself.

Favorite Foods:

I love trying out new recipes. My favorite things to cook are main dishes and desserts. Here is a few things I am famous for: panama canal dessert, cinnamon rolls, salsa, frosted sugar cookies, chicken enchiladas, shoyu chicken.

One of my most favorite foods is shrimp. We have to go to Red Lobster during Endless Shrimp.
