Cheesecake Sandwich

Recipe #338550 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

By: SoupCookie
Nov 20, 2008

Came up with this a couple years ago when talking to a parent about "boring sandwich syndrome". Her daughter was tired of the same old meat sandwiches and wanted something fun in her lunch.

SERVES 4 , 1 sandwich (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Spread cream cheese on one slice of bread and jam on the other. Press together gently.
  2. 2
    Cut into quarters.
  3. 3
You can also change up the jam or use tortilla's instead of bread slices.

I'm having this now as I type for an afternoon snack. I used 1 slice whole grain bread, FF cream cheese and sugarfree blackberry jam. Yum! Thanks so much for the awesome idea!

I've been eating cream cheese and jelly sandwiches for more than 40 years. I love them. The one difference between mine and these, is there was no "gently" pressing together. They get SQUISHED together. I love this recipe because it gives a great name to a childhood fave!

I eat this every night before bed. I use sugar free jam and fat free cream cheese, and I like to warm it up in the microwave a bit. MMMMMMMMMM.....
