Candy Cane Drink

This is a real winner, especially when the holidays just scream "peppermint" with all the candy canes and candy hanging around. Why not make a drink out of it? Plus, it's really pretty to look at, too. Nicely presented, this drink will be a true party pleaser. Give it a whirl and see what you think.

Directions

  1. 1
First, prepare a chilled cocktail glass.
  2. 2
by drizzling a few stripes of Grenadine down the inside of the glass, twisting the glass as you go. Then, gently use a clean napkin to absorb the excess Grenadine from the bottom of the glass.
  3. 3
Shake the vodka, white chocolate liqueur, and peppermint schnapps with cracked ice in your snazzy little cocktail shaker.
  4. 4
Strain it through into your beautifully prepared glass.

    How beautiful is that?

I love it - perfect as one option for a holiday party. Comes out crisp and white! I, too, like that it is strong and not too candy-like. To weaken it, reduce to 1 ounce and let the white chocolate take over a little. Also, can let it sit on ice a bit longer to dilute. I like mine strong, but for others... Really fun. Thanks so much for posting!

This is similar to a Peppermint Patty cocktail which I enjoyed recently. However, the addition of vodka made it less candy-like and just a little too strong for my taste. It's a very cute idea; thanks for posting!

Let's pretend it's Christmas in August. This is positively delicious! It would be a really fun drink to serve for a holiday open house or just to sip in front of a nice fire. This is not a wimpy drink and I like that. I would suggest a good vanilla vodka as you don't want to ruin the white chocolate liquer with an inexpensive vodka. The grenadine stripes are very faint and quite lovely. I am convinced that genadine has been "lightened" up as it was not as thick or red as the last bottle I had. I think I will chill it and see if that thickens it up. Mini candy canes would be a lovely stir stick for this drink. Thanks Annacia for a tasty treat!
