Hot Red Sauce (Hot Red Socks)

Ingredients

• 20 large tomatoes
• 3-6 hot red peppers (depends on how hot peppers are)
• 2 sweet red peppers
• 6 medium onions
• 4 cups white sugar
• 4 cups white vinegar
• 3 tablespoons salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder, optional see note (or to taste) (optional)

Directions

   Peel and chop tomatoes.

   Chop peppers and onions.

   Mix with tomatoes.

   Add remaining ingredients.

   Cook until thickens.

   Stir often to prevent scorching.

   Pour into jars and seal.

   ** I usually leave out the curry. However, if the hot peppers are too mild I have added the curry powder for that added boost.
